Our academic school calendar follows the guidelines of the local county school's calendar for holidays.

Dulles Montessori School will follow the guidelines of Fairfax County Public School System regarding school closings on inclement weather day.

When FCPS is closed, DMS will also be closed.
When FCPS will open one hour late, DMS will open at 9:00 am
When FCPS will open two hours late, DMS will open at 9:00 am
This will not affect the PM schedule. The pickup time will remain the same.

If during the course of the day, roads are expected to become extremely hazardous, or if FCPS close early then DMS will also close early. Please call us or visit our website to find out the time of closing. DMS will make every attempt to reach you, should an early closing be anticipated.

If Fairfax County schools close early, we will close early as well and the parents must be available to pick up their child within an hour.

The school further reserves the right to cancel classes or alter the scheduled classes when the director of the school shall so deem fit for educational reasons or for reasons of safety. There shall be no prorating of tuition due to holidays as above provided. We will provide a copy of the School Calendar, including our Summer Session dates, to all students.
