INTRODUCTION

OUR PROGRAM
We are committed to providing one of the best Montessori program
in the area. We have an exclusive focus on education and strive
to maintain a high quality standard of learning program. The
Dulles Montessori School will follow the school calendar year.It
will follow the Fairfax County public school system holiday
schedule. Changes will be made as per required.

ENRICHMENT ACTIVITIES
Music, Spanish, Grace Art, PE and Yoga will be provided as
enrichment activities to the children. In addition, the children
will be going on fieldtrips two times in a year and have the
opportunity to engage in a number of “In house”
events such as but not limited to Fall Festival, Thanksgiving
Feast, Holiday Performance, Spring Event, Kindergarten Graduation
and a number of other enriching activities on a regular basis.
HALF-DAY PROGRAM
09:00am - 11:15am - Work time
11:15am - 11:45pm - Outdoor playtime
11:45am - 12:00pm - Departure
EARLY MORNING CARE AND EXTENDED DAY PROGRAM
The children enrolled in our early morning care start their day with a wide variety of available activities in the classroom. At 8:45am they are directed to their primary classroom by their teachers. The Half Day program is from 8:45am to 12:00pm.
EXTENDED DAY PROGRAM
The Extended Day Program is from 01:00pm –
2:45pm.
NAPPERS
The child will go to the nap room if he/she is below 41/2
years of age. The child is expected to lie down in his cot
until 2:30pm.
RESTORS
The child at 41/2 years old will have work time from 1:00pm to 2:30pm.
KINDERGARTENERS
The child will be eligible for the kindergarten program if
the child is 5years by December 31st of the school year.
If the child’s birthday falls after December 31st they
will work in the kindergarten class but will graduate from
the Kindergarten program the following year.
AFTERCARE HOURS
The aftercare hours are from 3:00p.m. to 6:00p.m. The School
will close at 6:00p.m.
SNACK AND LUNCH
Snacks will be provided daily in the morning for all the children
and in the afternoon for children enrolled in our Aftercare
program. Milk will be provided to all children at lunch and
children may choose to buy lunch from our optional Hot Lunch
program or bring a packed healthy lunch from home. The snack
and the lunch menu will be posted monthly on the Parent Bulletin
Board.
SUMMER SESSIONS
Summer time is the perfect time to explore a world of enriching
experiences through dance, movement, arts and craft activities.
Summer session is available for students who wish to attend
year round. This program is highly recommended for new students
who will be joining us in the Fall.
DMS Summer camp begins in mid July and ends in mid August and updates will be available in April . All students must register
and pay the summer camp fees by April 30th.
