OUR PROGRAM We are committed to providing one of the best Montessori program in the area. We have an exclusive focus on education and strive to maintain a high quality standard of learning program. The Dulles Montessori School will follow the school calendar year.It will follow the Fairfax County public school system holiday schedule. Changes will be made as per required.

ENRICHMENT ACTIVITIES Music, Spanish and Yoga will be provided as enrichment activities to the children. In addition, the children will be going on fieldtrip two times in a year and have the opportunity to engage in a number of “In house” events such as but not limited to Fall Festival, Thanksgiving Feast, Holiday Performance, Spring Event, Kindergarten Graduation and a number of other enriching activities on a regular basis.
EARLY MORNING PROGRAM The children enrolled in our early morning care start their day with a wide variety of available activities in the classroom. At 8:45am they are directed to their primary classroom by their class teacher.
HALF-DAY PROGRAM The Half Day program is from 8:45am to 12:00pm. 08:45am - 09:00am - Arrival 09:00am - 11:15am - Work time 11:15am - 11:45pm - Outdoor time 11:45am - 12:00pm - Departure
EXTENDED DAY PROGRAM The Extended Day Program is from 01:00pm – 2:45pm.
NAP ROOM PROGRAM The child will go to the nap room if he/she is between 2.5 to 41/2 years of age. The child is expected to lie down in his/her cot until 2:30pm in the naproom.
JUNIOR KINDERGARTEN PROGRAM The child at 41/2 years old will have work time from 1:00pm to 2:30pm.
KINDERGARTEN PROGRAM The child will be eligible for the kindergarten program if the child is 5years by December 31st of the school year. If the child’s birthday falls after December 31st they will work in the kindergarten class but will graduate from the Kindergarten program the following year.
AFTERCARE HOUR The Aftercare hours are from 3:00p.m. to 6:00p.m. The School will close at 6:00p.m.
SNACK AND LUNCH Snacks will be provided daily in the morning for all the children and in the afternoon for children enrolled in our Aftercare program. Milk will be provided to children at lunch. The children enrolled in the Extended day program, Junior Kindergarten program, Kindergarten program and After care program will purchase the hot lunch from the school. The snack and the lunch menu will be posted monthly on the Parent Bulletin Board.
SUMMER SESSION Summer time is the perfect time to explore a world of enriching experiences through dance, movement, art and craft activities. Summer session is available for students who wish to attend year round. This program is highly recommended for new students who will be joining us in the Fall.
DMS Summer camp begins in July and ends in August. Updates will be available in April . All students must register and pay the summer camp fee by April 30th.
